eXtension project to deliver extension and outreach information over the Internet

Agricultural extensionists in the USA have started work on a national web-based information and education network to serve extension clientele.

The eXtension initiative will allow the US extension system to more efficiently serve its customers by providing accurate and just in time information for decision making. Through the power of the Internet, eXtension will bring the best university research on current topics to help citizens make wise life choices. To do this, eXtension will create an interactive national repository of high-quality, non-duplicated, research-based information accessible to all.
