E-conference: knowledge management and sharing in agriculture
Between February and June 2006, information and communication specialists working in agriculture will meet online to exchange ideas and experiences on "knowledge management and sharing in agriculture". Supported by the Global Forum for Agricultural Research (GFAR) and members of the iNARS community, the e-discussions will document what is being done around the world in terms of projects, activities, and lessons; learn from members' experiences in terms of what works and what doesn't; and formulate guidance and lessons for future activities in this area.
The e-conference kicks off in the week of 20 February discussing: "strengthening rural livelihoods through communication, knowledge sharing and learning, and the use of ICTs". The second thread, between April and June, will examine the issue: "improving the performance of agricultural research by accessing, sharing, and communicating knowledge and information". Interested people can join the discussions at http://www.dgroups.org/groups/inars/
