ICTs for sharing agricultural information in India

The National Academy of Agricultural Research Management in India is implementing a project (shockwave/flash file) that explores the future of information and knowledge in agricultural research. Based in one village, the project seeks to assess farmer information needs relevant to internet and build a system using ICTs in agriculture technology dissemination for problem solving; empower farmers and farm women in the use of ICT; and develop policy strategy and benchmarks to use ICTs to improve the quality of life in rural areas across the country.

More information on NAARM research and training activities is at http://icar.naarm.ernet.in. Note the project description is a shockwave/flash file; a description is also available as a word document.
