AIBDA members to explore digital library software
A work group of AIBDA members in Latin America have begun preparations to set up an "integrated system for the agricultural libraries handling" that would also be free, that could be used with CDS-ISIS, preferably in a Web environment, use the AGRIS methodology, and be easy to use.
A recent posting to the AIBDA discussion list announces that a preliminary version has been developed and that it will be presented in the Workshop (in Spanish) on Digital Libraries Management to be held in Costa Rica from 3 to 7 October 2006. Note: AIBDA - the Inter-American Association of Librarians, Documentalists and Specialists in Agricultural Information - is a partner of IAALD (see www.iica.ac.cr/aibda/).
