Documenting and sharing local experiences and knowledge

The April 2006 issue of LEISA Magazine looks at 'documentation for change' - where 'documentation' is a process of describing and analysing activities, results and impacts so they can be made available and shared with others. The special issue of the magazine brings together several on the ground experiences from agriculture, showing how farming communities can effectively document and share their own experiences - and how, for instance, agencies can engage in 'writeshops' to move rough ideas into finished products. For people who want to try out these aproaches themselves, there is also a step by step manual available to download and adapt.
