Kansas looks to increase rural Internet accessibility
The Kansas Department of Commerce announced the creation of Connect Kansas, a new initiative designed to increase broadband Internet service in rural Kansas, USA.
The program will consists of two phases: mapping the states current broadband capacity and providing federal grants and loans to qualified organizations involved in expanding broadband service to rural areas.
