US national information service on sustainable agriculture

Farmers, producers, ranchers, Extension agents, educators, and others interested in organic farming and sustainable agriculture (mainly in the USA) can make use of the ATTRA portal to find information, projects, and answers to technical questions.

Particularly useful features are: the AgWeb collection of prominent agriculture databases, directories, library catalogs, and topic-specific search engines on the Internet, a listing of US institutions with interests in organic and sustainable agriculture, and range of publications (many in Spanish) on subjects like horticultural and field crops, soils and compost, water management, pest management, organic Farming, livestock, etc.

ATTRA is run by the US National Center for Appropriate Technology with funds from the USDA Rural Business-Cooperative Service. The USDA also supports the Alternative Farming Systems Information Center (AFSIC).
